My first Jewish Wedding
Filed Under Wedding Stuff | Leave a Comment
Wow! So now I could say I’ve been to a Jewish wedding! This is the second wedding I’ve ever been to. The first one was Alex and Agnes’s (Josh’s BFF, not jewish) I was a bridesmaid. The second one was Josh’s lil brother’s. Eily and Libba’s wedding, I walked in this one too, yesterday, with Josh. I thinks it’s funny that the only weddings I’ve been to, I walked in. It’s very nerve wracking, but I think I could get used to that sort of thing.
It was so hilarious because for some reason we walked down to the Godfather theme song….LOL. I’m not sure if it was on purpose or just happened to be that way, but it was definitely cool. Plus, Josh was wearing this tall hat that looked great on him. I was so nervous and smiling a lot like a big dork, but whatever, I’m dieing to see how we came out in the video. Read more

Stupid Post Office
Filed Under Wedding Stuff | Leave a Comment
OMG craziness! I’m so freakin pissed because the damn post office screwed up ALL our invitations! Everyone received them all opened and ripped. Makes me so mad cuz we put all our effort into them. The invitation itself wasn’t ripped, thank goodness, but the envelopes they came in were ripped so the invitation could fall out. It sucks because Josh’s grandma didn’t even get hers! She just received an empty envelope with an apology letter from the stupid post office. We do have a few extras so we have to send her a new one. It just makes me wonder who else didn’t get theirs.
It just so happens we find out days after mailing them out that the post office could “hand cancel” them. Meaning instead of putting our fancy letters through the stamping machine and getting torn, they just mark it with a pen. Libba (Josh’s brothers fiance) told this to us. I thought, that bastard at the post office could of mention that to us when we handed the invitations to him, instead of just throwing them in the box with the rest of their crap. Read more

Our D.I.Y Wedding Invitations
Filed Under Wedding Stuff | Leave a Comment
Wedding invitations can be very expensive, I guarantee. We went to this place to check some out and they were like three thousand dollars to do what we wanted. They were nice and everything, but yea we passed on that one. We decided to get those “print yourself ones”, spruce them up a bit and we would be golden. Read more

Bridesmaid Dresses UPDATE
Filed Under Wedding Stuff | Leave a Comment
Jasmine B2 bridesmaid collection came out with some really nice new styles. I’m going for the whole goddess look so I picked out a few styles that I think go along with that theme. Don’t let the color or length be the base of your choice because all the dresses will be in a gold color and full length. Also, my beautiful maids of honor will be wearing the same dress so come to an agreement ladies, personally my favorite are the first two. Read more

In the past few weeks a situation came up that was very interesting. My fiance’s family is Jewish. He was raised to follow the Jewish customs, but had no interest in it. It wasn’t his cup of tea. He told me he realized this when he was 4 years old. I on the other hand believe in G*d, but I don’t have a religion, I don’t believe in religion because I feel it is prejudice, close minded and causes wars.
Since this is the case some of his family will not be attending the wedding because I am not Jewish. I actually found this very surprising because some Jewish people are actually attending. Even though Josh had a feeling that, that might happen he still became very upset with the situation and even the religion itself. I thought to myself they are his family, why wouldn’t they come? because of a religious belief? Doesn’t G*d love and care for every individual regardless of their belief or heritage? Didn’t he gives us free will?
Personally, I believe Read more
