Everybody Loves Cake

Only a few months left and I thought we would be behind in our planning. Its seems like everything has been in a “right on time” mode. One of things being our “cake lady”. I had been looking at cakes in the past month. I kinda forgot about it in the beginning, being so worried about dress styles and over thinking color schemes. I had seen so many pictures of wedding cakes (mainly on google..lol), but they were so plain and they didn’t look like a normal cake to me. I thought to myself, wedding cakes are weird! They don’t look like cakes, they look like boxes with frosting or like old lady hats for that matter. I’m so used to seeing birthday cakes (because I have such a big family) and spanish wedding cakes in the windows of panaderias, which look like a bunch of birthday cakes put together with flowers. Music is important!: Band or DJ?

Ok I’ve been going crazy for the past month trying to figure out music that i want for the wedding reception. The thought of a band is really nice because it’s live, it looks great, it sounds great, so on and so forth. I had a salsa band in mind, to get the spanish groove goin, plus it would be great for the “first dance.”
